NewsGamer is an immersive narrative tool to simulate real-life events as they appear in the news.

Through non-linear storytelling, newsgames empowers to digest complex political, economic, and social issues in a playful way. 

 

 

NewsGamer, developed with support from Google’s Digital News Initiative is a software platform that reduces the costs and time requirements to create a newsgame, enabling newsrooms as well as classrooms to quickly create highly engaging interactive content. 

With NewsGamer you can create a newsgame in less than an hour, with no coding required. You pick any topic and fill out an easy to use templates to develop and launch the story. 

What is a newsgame?

In a newsgame you assume the role of a leader: the US President, the UN Secretary General, a mayor, an editor-in-chief, or a CEO tackling a hard to crack challenge or a full blown crisis. You succeed or fail based on your choices, while learning about the drivers of a conflict, the policy options available, and their consequences.
